This is an introductory course concerning key concepts, methods and theories of comparative politics. Topics may include Political Transition, State and State Capacity, Institutions and Political Economy, as well as Culture and Opinion. The primary goal of the course is for students to gain knowledge and academic skills in the field of comparative politics and learn to analyze important questions in different political contexts. Readings will be drawn from both classical works and more recent contributions that build upon those works.
